Hey folks,
Can you tell I'm in a Pinky and the Brain mood?
Well... it's been a minute. Sorry I've been so lax on here, but, honestly, I'm just not a deviantArt devotee like I used to be, although the changes to this site have been... interesting. Seems like they're going for a more professional look. I like the black, although the layout is something I'll have to get used to.
When was the last time I posted on here? A year ago...? Well, there have been a few changes, some of which I may have reported last go 'round, some of which I have not. For those who are unaware, I moved from California to Oregon. Although I dearly miss my family and the good ol' sun state and the animation industry, I also love being so much closer to my boyfriend (I'm living with him and his family). Regarding work, I have a job that pays decent, and I'm still drawing, but my primary focus has been on writing. In fact, my artistic goals have shifted.... I'm aiming to be a director and screenwriter. Still sketching amidst all that, though.
In other news, I am currently obsessed with Pinky and the Brain. Y'all should check out Rob Paulsen's new book (he did the voice of Pinky, Yakko, two of the ninja turtles, and countless other characters). It's legit. Get the audio version. New Adventures
Yeeeaaaah... it's been a while since I've updated....
I'm really sorry that I haven't been on here very often, and that I've only now just gotten back to your replies and comments. Life has been pretty interesting....
For one thing, I moved to another state to be closer to my boyfriend. I'm living with him and his parents and am quite enjoying being closer to such a sweet and wonderful man.
For another thing, I'm writing a script and a children's book. Both are my own projects. Nothing major. Well... I see them as becoming something big, but time will tell if that happens or not. Heh. Would be nice if it did, though. Teamwork makes the dream work, as they say. I can't do it by myself, that's for sure.

Sorry for the lack of activity. This year has been a very busy one.
Exciting News: Thank God, I finally got a job in the entertainment industry!! I'm working as a color stylist for a television series. I'm so thankful to the Lord for this job and to the people who helped me achieve my goal of working in the business. I'm still aiming to get a position as a storyboard artist in the future, but any opportunity is a blessed one.
Regular Ol' Life News: Still keeping busy. Boyfriend and I visit each other whenever we can. We're planning on two or three more trips this year. He and I are doing wonderfully. I couldn't ask for a better boyfriend.
Don't expect much activity here on deviantArt. I did upload a few entries today, but my main hubs right now are Twitter and Tumblr. Here are my handles:

Periodicals
There's been a lot going on life-wise, and that's evident by my lack of activity here on deviantArt; although, I will admit that my interest in this website has deteriorated over time. Now that Wix has bought out the company, though, perhaps changes will be made that will peak my interest once more....
I've been drawing a lot -- two hours daily, if possible. Still could be more productive than I currently am. Been working a lot, as well, and have submitted my portfolio and resume to recruiters in the hopes of securing a job spot as a Production Coordinator/Assistant and/or Storyboard Artist at a studio near me. There's sunshine on the horizon....
In other news, I've been downright obsessed with The Lego Batman Movie. Been a Batman fan for many years as it is, but this latest installment actually bumped The Dark Knight out of first place, which is saying something. Going to see it for a fourth time and have some fan works to show, both for said film and for other films. Go see Lego Batman.
My sincerest apologies to all of you who continue to follow me in that I have not been particularly active lately, but I thank you just as generously for sticking around. There is much work to come which I hope you enjoy.

Skip, Hop, Jump
Been a while, eh...?
Actually, I think it's been almost a year since I last updated this. No surprise there.... I apologize for my continued absence. As seems to be the case with many lately, deviantArt no longer appeals to me in the way it used to. I've been uploading my art instead to places like Tumblr, Twitter, and Facebook. In other news, I've been into Angry Birds. Like... REALLY into Angry Birds.... Not the game, but the movie. Who would've thought? Didn't think I'd particularly care for the thing except to get an occasional laugh out of it and ended up finding it to be one of the most HILARIOUS things I've ever seen. So expect to see a lot of Angry Birds drawings (especially Chuck ones) on my Tumblr art blog. You have been warned. I will say, however, that such a liking of this film has had positive results. I'm actively involved in a fandom again, and the people there are very sweet and enthusiastic. I've been drawing almost daily, including storyboarding (got two boards in line; one is almost finished). I even started writing fan fiction again. A little embarrassing, perhaps, but I don't care. Heh. I'm having fun!
Other than that, most of my life has been comprised of working, drawing, and chatting it up with my boyfriend every night. Life just seems to get busier and busier and there's never enough hours in the day (or days in the week, it seems) to do everything, but it's not unmanageable. Just gotta find that balance....
So, in retrospect, you won't be seeing me much on deviantArt anymore, although I will upload a few of the Angry Birds drawings here, and other sketches on occasion.
