I've actually only taken a few classes and am primarily self-taught; however, I've grown up around art and animation all my life because my parents are veteran artists/animators, so they've definitely helped a lot, plus they have tons of connections so I've gotten great advice from professionals in the business.
You're quite welcome~ Ahhh you're so lucky!!! You must have had the best childhood growing up with animators as parents! Definitely make use of the wonderful opportunities you have and keep pursuing your dreams~ I'm a fellow animator in training so who knows, maybe we'll be working together someday
Even with references, though, I am so horrible at doing something like this. My drawing skills are so lackluster. I want to be an animator some day but I suppose being able to draw and do things like you're doing would be more practical than playing in animation software. I admire your work, I really do!
Ah, well, you just need to keep at it! It took me seven years to get to this point. As artists, we're constantly learning and growing. If you want to be an animator then follow that dream, or whatever branch of the industry that you want to get into! Persevere... and you'll get there.
